Description of the Museum
The Museum
Our Museum is housed in a listed building, which is an emblematic example of traditional architecture. It is located in the Loutro area, the historic site that served as the seat of the Chancellery, the revolutionary committee that led the revolution in Crete. The building is located in a plot of land owned by the municipality, with a courtyard and a traditional stone wall, which guarantees the security of the site.
The Exhibition
The Digital Exhibition offers a unique experience, combining natural exhibits, representing the historical archive of the region, and digital exhibits.
The exhibition is divided into thematic stations that highlight important chapters of our history. Explore the events during the revolutionary period, the history of the Sfakia Chancellery and the Battle of Fragokastello through educational applications that invite you to engage in an interesting pedagogical experience.
